Steven glued all the pipes and we passed inspection with just two things to fix. The upstairs stool needs its own air vent and pipes in the basement need additional support.

Steven and I and another artist installed our art at White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church. It will be on display until September 4. At our Open House I sold five paintings!  I sold 1/3 of my paintings in total.

We took a break for the holidays and learned that the past month’s heating bill was $250 (just for heating the second floor. It is getting cold and we decided it was a good time to stop for the winter and begin again in spring.

We took the day off yesterday from working on the house to go to the ReStore. We have decided to replace the dormer window on the second floor to let in more light and have a better window. We didn’t find a window but did find 4 doors for the second floor, an antique pink chair, a pendulum clock and some plumbing supplies. The clock didn’t come with the windup key but Steven ordered one online.

A young man who worked on the house last summer knows electricity. He agreed to help us and his father-in-law is a licensed electrician and could pull the permit. He has stood us up! Doesn’t respond to our communications. So I called our plumber for a reference. He found us a young woman who has agreed to work with us. We are meeting with her tomorrow morning. Working with a woman is exciting, although it will really be Steven who will be doing the electrical work.

Steven went to a men’s retreat and I went to masquerade party at a mansion on Summit Ave. Beautiful house with this hand carved stairway.

We went on a cruise on the St Croix river with a  group of friends. Overcast day but still lovely.

I painted the storms on the bay window bronze brown to match the new windows we are installing. They were white before

We did some painting and misc work but took time off for an art show ‘Strong Women’  by Jimmy Longoria, a well-known Chicano artist.
