We sorted the baseboard trim (after restoration) and installed baseboard, top piece and quarter round in the corner so the radiator could be slid in. We are working to get radiators in place so the heating system can be completed

New color in north bedroom
I thought the paint color for the north bedroom would work with the wallpaper. I decided it didn’t so I mixed paint from several colors to get the color I wanted. I am much happier with the color. The color matches the bedspread now.
Designing coat and pantry closets with ReStore doors
we had purchased a set do bi-fold doors from ReStore. I separated them by taking the hinges off. We are deciding how to place the door before framing the wall.
Kitchen door trimmed
The kitchen door into the dining room is trimmed with white trim matching the windows.
Baseboards finished bottom of stairway.
I finished the baseboard trim and then added the top trim piece up the stairway.
Adding a china cabinet between
On the way to church, we found the cabinet along side the road. We have hardwood flooring missing because built in bookcases are missing and that spot needs covering up. Steven removed part of the wall, so the doorway outdoors be at least 32”
Final Electrical Inspection
We passed our final electrical inspection today. He noticed the electrical strip Steven had added to the desk “I didn’t see that,” he says. Also
the lights in the bedroom closets were not positioned correctly. Steven also has to change an outlet in the basement from 4 to 2. He signed our permit as passed!
Trimming the North door
We had taken out the original door going out to the north porch and put in a bigger door that had been the front door in the living room that we had replaced with a big window. I found original trim that was narrow.
Sanding edges along walls
Steven rented an edge sander and spent two days sanding along the walls so we can install baseboards and radiators.
Replacing resin paper
The resin paper shut out too much sun. I found a roll of fabric in my crawl space. It was from IKEA that I purchased from Goodwill. It screens out most of the hot sun while letting in more light. The photo is an exterior shot.
