I’ve been painting windows. Steven is working in the basement – disconnecting the water heater, the boiler, and the oil tank. The first 6 pieces of metal roofing went up today. Yaah!

The siding is installed on the north wall. The window frame is installed – we are still working on restoring the windows themselves. Corbels are on each corner of the wall to support the roof.

We found that there was a leak in the north porch. Our dedicated carpenters opened the roof up and found extensive rot. Lindsey cleaned it up and did this lovely patch.  I used the last of the driveway pavers to construct a sidewalk to the front porch.

Slow day at Rose Cottage – I painted 2 x 6’s for the second floor fascia

Day 9 Brian and Gabe worked until 9 p.m. to finish covering the roof and making it water tight. Thank you!

Steven worked repairing the triple north window and I worked on stripping the paint. Shakes were spread out and painted.
