Finishing work on doors left on second floor bedrooms
I found the wallpaper for three walls at a thrift store. The fourth wall was painted a dark rose.
Staining old door jams and door stops. The jambs are wider than needed so we will need to rip them down and then restain.
We are reusing the original trim, much of which had been painted. I had earlier scraped off much of the paint and now I am sanding and staining.
The doors were designed to be bi-fold doors. I removed the hinges to create instead two separate doors that will open in the middle. The doors were light pine which I sanded and stained.
I finished framing three 1st floor closets and Steven installed the sheetrock.
I painted the window area that will have a window seat. We also moved the dresser out of the closet area .
Steven tung oiled under the Murphy bed placement so we were able to install the bed. Steven tried it out. We now have more room and can finish the other half of the floor.
Steven was excited to start the tung oil application. We were able to applied one coat before Steven started to hurt. . I poured the tung oil and Steven spread it.
