Bedroom floor before and after

We could only do half the bedroom floor at a time because of the Murphy bed. The first picture is before sanding and then different stages of grit sanding. We didn’t get the smooth finish we desire because the sander was only using half of the sand paper and Steven had to work a lot harder to get the desired results

Bedroom door in Process

The original oak door was varnished; previous owners painted over the varnish. The first coat was a bright pink, the second coat was a heavy layer of white paint. Where the varnish had been in good shape, the paint peeled off easily, where the varnish was deteriorated it had to be scraped. The inner trim of the panels still had heavy paint which had to be scraped off. One side is stripped and stained finally.

Bedroom Wallpaper

I got 4 double rolls of wallpaper from a thrift store. I decided to use it in the downstairs bedroom. First I mixed 2-3 different paints to achieve a gold paint. I painted the alcove behind the Murphy bed and the window alcove. After I wallpapered on each side of the Murphy bed alcove, Steven asked me to also paper the alcove above the Murphy bed. Three walls will be papered. The closet wall wIll be painted gold.
