Trim in North Bedroom

While Steven was working on the electrical, I painted and installed baseboard trim in the north bedroom. We are using corner pieces to give a more vintage look. The great thing is there is no mitering. The baseboard trim was trim we found that someone was giving away. We are using this room to store furniture for the airbnb.

Middle Room Flooring

We have installed the hickory flooring in the middle room. It is a lighter color and went in much easier than the north bedroom. The alcove is original to the house. That was the height of the second floor until we raised the roof.

Slow Going on Flooring

Steven decided there was a way to raise the radiator pipes so he removed the radiator again and installed flooring. It all had to be hand nailed and holes cut out for the radiator pipes but turned out good.

Corner for Radiator

While Steven was working on this corner, I was stripping the body of the dresser. It did not go well and there is still much to do.

Vintage Dresser Becoming New Again

We picked up an old dresser that had been painted. Thankfully the mirror was not painted. Unfortunately, the owner had removed the ornate drawer pulls. I have stripped the drawers to reveal beautiful oak wood and a lovely gold metal key hole surround.
