We had purchased 3 slider windows on clearance thinking that would be enough but because of the existing posts we needed one more. We ordered it and when it came it was missing an exterior piece. We installed it temporarily for the winter.
We had removed the installed headboard. It was stripped of paint, sanded, stained and shellacked and replaced.
We had removed the headboard under the windows to install insulation. One wall of the porch had blue siding. To keep some of the old decor, we decided to match the blue color and paint the reinstalled headboard wainscoting the same color. I also painted the floor a slightly lighter blue then stenciled a pattern with pink paint. The trim is a burgundy color.
After sanding and applying amber shellac we installed the headboard in the kitchen porch ceiling.
Steven saw maple flooring in a neighbors Bagster and asked if he could have it. We rescued it and removed all the nails. Several months later we have installed it in the kitchen porch.
These windows have an added storm on the outside. I painted them white and installed them on either side of the north door..
