Weather damaged the tar paper on the outside of the bathroom walls. Paper also needed to be added where the window used to be. Siding will be added at a later date.

Finally repaired the outer papered bathroom wall since moving the bathroom window. Will need to add siding at a later date
South Bedroom Floor
The south bedroom only took two days. We had enough but barely.
A Very Dirty Job
While Steven was under the porch, I rearranged the windows and door stored there and then removed the car siding on the ceiling and on the south wall. Needless to say, 80 or so years of dirt fell on my head (I was wearing goggles, mask, and a big brimmed hat. When I was finished, my hand were black with dirt.
Raising the Corner of the Kitchen Porch
We decided to raise the corner of the kitchen porch. First the jacks wouldn’t work, Steven finally found two that would work and went under the porch and discovered a rim joist was cracked and sagging. He had to jack that split up and sister a 2×8 board to it. He then was able to raise the corner 1 1/2″.
Moving Steps
We had purchased a set of steps on clearance from Menards. We stored them in back of the house. We brought them out to the driveway to see how they would work with the new positioned kitchen door. They will eventually be turned to the side and a platform constructed for in front of the door. I moved pavers from other areas to form the sidewalk leading up to the stairs.
Rose Cottage Flowers
We purchased several rose bushes for the front of the house and they are blooming beautifully.
Flooring Sorted by Size
I opened all the boxes and sorted all the flooring by size. These boards are much shorter than the others. We are a bit worried that there might not be enough. I measured and counted and it seems we will be okay.
Trim in North Bedroom
While Steven was working on the electrical, I painted and installed baseboard trim in the north bedroom. We are using corner pieces to give a more vintage look. The great thing is there is no mitering. The baseboard trim was trim we found that someone was giving away. We are using this room to store furniture for the airbnb.
Electrical in Kitchen Before South Bedroom Flooring
We had one more bedroom in which to install flooring but first Steven needed to work on the electrical for the kitchen. He had to have access under the subfloor to string wire.
